Dr. JungJae "JJ" Park, D.D.S.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. JungJae Park, known to his patients as "Dr. JJ Park," moved to the United States at the age of 18 to attend Culver Academies in Indiana.
He went on to earn a B.S. degree in Engineering Science with a concentration in Nanomedicine Engineering from the University of Virginia, graduating with the highest distinction. Inspired by his father, an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Park developed a deep passion for healthcare. Through volunteer work and clinical shadowing, he discovered his true calling in dentistry.
He achieved a 100th percentile on the Dental Admission Test, reflecting his dedication to academic excellence
Dr. Park earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he was awarded multiple scholarships, including the Merit Scholarship and the Richmond Dental Study Club Memorial Endowment Scholarship. During dental school, he completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery externships at Emory University and VCU Medical Center.
He then pursued a General Practice Residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he received advanced training in treating medically complex patients, including those with facial trauma and special healthcare needs.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Park actively stays ahead of the latest advancements in implant surgery, bone grafting, restorative dentistry, and digital workflows. He is a certified Invisalign provider.
Passionate about giving back, Dr. Park volunteers on annual dental mission trips, providing care to underserved communities.
Bilingual in Korean and English, he is dedicated to providing quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Park enjoys speed skating, traveling, and spending quality time with his family in Korea.
